Local Pickup Only

This product is available for pickup only and cannot be shipped. Pickup is exclusively on Saturdays, unless there are special scenarios. You'll be called a couple of days before your nuc is ready to arrange collection.

NSW Requirements

Beekeepers in NSW must provide a valid hive registration number for the purchase. Orders cannot be processed without this proof.

Deposit and Pickup Timing

A $10 deposit is required for the nuc box itself, refunded upon its return. Nuc supply is currently running weekly at our NSW store, with Brisbane store supply expected around late September or October.

An OZ ARMOUR single full-depth brood box is available as an optional add-on, sized to match this nuc at 5 frames, giving your bees a proper home to settle into from day one. It's fully assembled and painted white, made from 22mm New Zealand pine, 3mm thicker than the standard 19mm used in most imported hives, for better insulation and greater resistance to warping through Australian temperature extremes. The exterior is UV and water-resistant, while the interior stays unpainted natural pine, which bees settle into more readily.

The box comes complete with a lid and an upgraded wax-dipped mesh bottom board with beetle trap, which does double duty: bees naturally herd small hive beetles toward the floor, where they fall through the mesh into a removable tray filled with diatomaceous earth, and the same mesh lets dropped varroa mites fall through for simple, disruption-free mite counts. The wax-dipping treatment means no painting or recoating, ever.
